AS Foundation finally got around to social networks. Please help us to get started on Twitter @AmericanSlaves

Welcome!

ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO EVERY AMERICAN
(and people from other countries as soon as possible).

In 1997, small groups of Americans of varied ethnic backgrounds began meeting in parts of the United States of America.  Without fanfare, we decided to organize a national group dedicated to helping relations among all people in America.  The American Slaves Society was created. Years later, it became known as the American Slaves Foundation.

We have chapters in 28 states and the District of Columbia.  Over 340 volunteer area coordinators nationwide are duplicating the procedures of the Foundation's DC/Maryland/Virginia committee.  Each group is responsible for communications among civic, governmental, religious, and social organizations in their areas.

In order to help in establishing the types of support systems that should have been in place after Emancipation, we have set several goals. We hope that you will find that they are worthwhile and that you will assist.
